With several years of experience gained since 1998, Carousel Music has provided many dressage riders at various levels with a professional, efficient and cost-effective service. Until now, this service has only been available to a limited number of clients competing at Riding Club level, all levels in British Dressage competitions, and several clients competing at international FEI events.

To ensure the best results, the customer’s music is compiled only from original CDs or downloads, using multitrack, digital audio editing techniques to retain the full quality and atmosphere of the original music.

For all customers competing within Great Britain, all the information needed for British Dressage / PPL music licensing is provided making the licence process simple and efficient.

The service options available from Carousel Music include:

• Basic compilation of music from original CDs using basic movement timings provided by the customer. The times are typically the length of time required for each pace.
• Detailed compilation of music from original CDs and a video of the test provided by the customer. The video enables us to form the music around the “shape” of the choreography, thus enhancing the test by matching parts of the music to individual movements.
• Let us search our collection for suitable music to fit a particular theme or preference.
• On-site filming of a rehearsal. For customers based in the South East of England, we can arrange a visit to film a rehearsal, discuss the options available and potential choices of music.

Dressage to Music is what it says – it means riding to the music. While we give the rider a head start by forming the music around the planned choreography, the end result depends on the rider knowing and enjoying the music, and being able to ride to expression of the music. Ensuring the music suits the horse’s paces, way of going and character, is also crucial. We can help select the best music for you and your horse.
